Right before we headed off into the New Years, we had the chance to visit Sungui Science Technology High School in Gwangju, South Korea.

We were excited to host our first “Learn to Create with Toonit” in-classroom workshops. Our one hour long workshops taught by Andrew Kim, Toonit’s CEO, provided a foundation to using Toonit’s tools, and how quick and easy it was to create their own webtoon. Over the span of two days, we met with 60+ students and was so impressed with what they were able to create.

The goal of our “Learn to Create with Toonit” workshops is to help students find their talent, interests, and passion through Toonit. Whether the child wants to become a writer, artist, PD, Toonit creates an environment for original ideas and creativity.

For those that enjoy creating their own stories and drawing in their notebooks, we’ve provided an easy way for students to bring their idea to life. Toonit requires two things: a laptop and internet access. By being easily accessible, we empower youth of all experience levels and backgrounds with the resources needed to share their story.

Check out what the students had to say about using Toonit for the first time:

What I liked the most was that we could choose and style the character ourselves.

I liked that I was able to easily create my own story.

It was fun and easy to use. Plus, it was fascinating to use the Toonit tools.
